My interest in Information Science and Technology primarily started due to my love of videogames. I had been interested in learning how to program videogames, and while trying to learn about that, I found other programming disciplines that were interesting. I have been working on getting Comptia A+ certified, as well. I would love to be able to build and customize my own computer someday; I find everything to do with computers and programming to be extremely fun and interesting.
With that being said, what I would like to focus on now is web design and development. It has been extremely fun to do this in class. I don't have a ton of current experience with anything IT related, but I did do similar things in the US Navy.
Unfortunately, I don't use a lot of, if any, social media.
I currently work at HP as a District Sales Leader. This means that I travel between different stores, and train the employees there on all of HP's products. I also help sell products while I am in store. I mostly focus on selling HP products, but I try to help however I can. Part of my responsibilities also involves merchandising and making the printer aisle and ink aisle look nice.
As a Business Sales Associate, I had a territory that I was in charge of. In this territory, I travelled around and visited local businesses to see if they were a good fit for our products. Just about every business was. I was in charge of selling a relatively new product called the Bottle Free Cooler.
The only project of note that I have had the pleasure of doing was a project in which I had to create a multipage website using WordPress.
I have completed plenty of assignments in class that has taught me quite a lot about designing a good web page.
